Electroplated Diamond Abrasive Sleeves, Diameter Adjustable
Single pass honing tools, also known as high-precision progressive honing tools, are widely used in the hydraulic industry for precision bore finishing. Installed on vertical multi-spindle honing machines, these tools deliver exceptional cylindricity (up to 0.002 mm) and surface finish (as fine as Ra 0.2 µm) in a single pass.
In hydraulic applications, single pass honing is ideal for processing components such as hydraulic valve bodies, control valves, pump housings, cylinders, sleeves, and spools. These parts require tight dimensional tolerances, superior surface quality, and excellent straightness to ensure sealing performance and smooth fluid flow.

Single pass honing, also known as single stroke honing, uses an expandable diamond-plated sleeve mounted on a tapered mandrel. The tool passes through the bore only once, removing a predetermined amount of material. Each subsequent tool in the sequence slightly increases the diameter, progressively sizing the bore to the final specification. After the final pass, the bore is straight, round, and finished to the required surface quality-all in one cycle.
Electroplated diamond single pass honing tools offer excellent dimensional accuracy, high material removal rates, short cycle times, and consistent bore geometry. They are ideal for high-volume production environments.
